The Fenway Hotel
For most of my life I drove past this large building when heading down to Clearwater beach and just didn’t think too much into it. It’s funny how such beauty and history isn’t often recognized until someone brushes off the dust. So speaking as somewhat a native I would like to say thank you for reminding me that sometimes the cool stuff is located right in your back yard.
The Fenway Hotel was built in 1924 during the jazz age. Through out the years it has not only been a hotel but also pinellas county’s first radio station, colleges and simply abandoned. Until recently, it has been renovated back into a boutique hotel that holds onto it’s history and charm!
The original Fenway “bar” or better known as speakeasy back in the day was originally located in the basement. This time around the HiFi is a rooftop bar overlooking the St. Joseph Sound and the view is amazing!
Such a bright and warm feeling, I can’t wait to make it back over here and actually try the food out!
If you end up making your way over to the restaurant or bar, you have to let me know how it is and what to order!
